Goals & Objectives: The Outreach Committee seeks to expand DIA’s connections to individuals and like minded organizations.
Activist advocacy organizations are only as effective as their ability to move people to action. Our power is determined by the number of people who align with our issues. The more members we have the more work we can do to expand the rights of people with disabilities.
This Committee has identified 5 areas where outreach would be beneficial:
- Membership Recruitment
- Communicating to our Membership
- Collaboration with organizations that serve the disability community
- Collaboration with other civil rights organizations
- disseminating Information to the general public
